Strangolapreti with tomato sauce

Ingredients

  • Koch’s Strangolapreti 500 g
  • 400 g of tomato pulp
  • 1 teaspoon of tomato paste
  • Half onion
  • Olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Pepper
  • Basil
  • Salt

To start...

Boil the water in a pot.

For the strangolapreti

Dip the frozen strangolapreti in boiling salted water and cook for about 2-4 minutes. They will be ready once afloat.

Drain them with a skimmer.

For the sauce

Heat olive oil in a large wide skillet on medium heat. Add the chopped onion, garlic. Stir to coat. Add tomato paste, tomatoes, basil, salt, pepper, then simmer. Optional, season with aromatic herbs as desired.

Mix the strangolapreti with the sauce and the dish is ready!

Tip: Serve them with Parmesan cheese.
