Spätzle of spinach with cream and ham
Very easy recipe, for 2 people.
- Koch’s Spinach Spätzle – 500 g.
- Salt (for cooking water)
- Half onion
- A knob of butter (for frying)
- 200 ml of cream
- 100 g of ham
- Parmesan cheese
Cut the onion and ham into small pieces.
For the Spätzle
On the stove, bring a pot of water to the boil. Salt and add the frozen spätzle. Cook for approx. 2/3 minutes over medium heat. When the spätzle are floating, drain them with a skimmer.
For the sauce
Melt the knob of butter in a pan and sauté with the onion and ham. Add the cream and continue cooking over medium heat for another 3 minutes. Add the nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste.
Mix the sauce with spätzle.
Before serving, garnish with a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese.
