“Gnocchi alla romana” are, as the name suggests, a dish of roman origin. The round, flat gnocchi has its roots in the poor cuisine of the Lazio region in Italy.
The freshly frozen roman gnocchi are made of durum wheat semolina. In Italy, the dish is served as “primo”, first course.

Preparation:

Put the sliced frozen dumplings in a casserole dish greased with butter. Butter them and sprinkle with freshly grated cheese. Then bake the “Gnocchi alla romana” in the oven at 200 °C for 10 minutes.
