Very easy to prepare, for 5 people.
Chop the nuts into small pieces, cut the bacon into thin strips and the onion into cubes.
Put the frozen potato gnocchi in boiling salted water and cook slowly. They’ll be ready once they’re afloat (after ca. 2 minutes). During cooking, mix the gnocchi with a wooden spoon. When they’re ready, drain them with a skimmer.
To enhance the aroma, roast the chopped walnuts.
For the sauce, sauté the onion in butter. When you have obtained the desired browning, add the speck. By lowering the intensity of the stove add the gnocchi to the mixture.
Add a pinch of pepper and the dish is ready!
Garnish with walnuts and Parmesan cheese.
A tip for gourmets: the dish is also excellent with 4 cheese sauce.
