The history of the company
Since it was founded by Peter Gojer in 1980, the Koch company from Bozen has specialised in the production of frozen dough and other products. While the main emphasis is still on local products, international frozen specialties are also produced and marketed under the Koch brand.
Frozen products, because what could be fresher and more natural than a product that is frozen straight away, with no additives or preservatives?
Products range from typical South Tyrolean specialties such as dumplings, spinach and egg spätzle, apple strudel, Schlutzkrapfen (pasta pockets) and pasta pockets made with Schüttelbrot (local crispy bread), through to
Italian specialties such as lasagne sheets, gnocchi, tortellini, pizza, sauces and vegetarian products.
Two different cultures meet in South Tyrol and what is unique and diverse about South Tyrollean cuisine is reflected in the KOCH range. You can find not only traditional South Tyrolean dumplings and spinach spatzle
but also typical Italian dishes like potato dumplings and cannelloni. KOCH products are renowned for their rigorous ingredient quality inspection. All in all KOCH stands for high-quality products and our ISO certification
is testimony to care and attention in all processes.
Where we are
SOUTH TYROLEAN CUISINE
The magical and delicious cuisine in South Tyrol in many ways is a reflection of the climate, landscape, culture and people of the region itself. A mild sunny climate, a traditional but spirited ambience, and an openness to impulses from elsewhere. A look at the product list is enough to satisfy the most demanding of palates: lasagne, pasta al pesto, maccheroni ai formaggi are Italian favourites and South Tyrolean specialties are wine soup, speck dumplings, and cheese dumplings – to name just a few!
